The Whittlesea Volunteer Resource Service (WVRS) connects people who work, live or study in the City of Whittlesea to suitable volunteer roles and provides training to develop volunteer skills.
A comprehensive database of volunteer involving organisations is maintained so that we can quickly place local people in volunteer roles across the municipality and beyond.
We also provide support to not for profit organisations who need assistance with volunteer recruitment and management.
These sessions provide volunteers with an overview of the their rights and responsibilities as a volunteer and information about existing volunteer opportunities in the local area.
Throughout the year, professional development opportunities are provided to volunteer managers by the Whittlesea Partnership on Volunteering and Community Engagement team.
This resource has been developed for Volunteer Involving Organisations to provide guidance on good practice principles as outlined in The Volunteer National Standards.
If a large scale emergency occurs in the Whittlesea region we may need the assistance of volunteers.
We thank our amazing cohort of volunteers for their hard work and dedication.
If you are interested in becoming an active member of our team we would love to hear from you.
Our community information service is a core program designed to connect people to the services and supports they need.
